Agia Varvara Beach is a coastal destination on the northern shores of the Heraklion prefecture, in the Malia area.
Geographically, it is located east of the main settlement of Malia, situated at a point where the coastline forms a protected bay.
The landscape is characterized by an extensive sandy shore with clear waters and an open horizon toward the Cretan Sea. In the eastern part of the beach, the geomorphology changes slightly as a small peninsula is formed, offering a more distinct natural environment.
The area surrounding the beach combines natural beauty with tourist development, as large and luxury hotel complexes operate in close proximity to the shore. Additionally, leisure and sports infrastructure, such as motorsport tracks, as well as luxury suite complexes, are located nearby, making the beach a popular destination that offers high-quality services to its visitors.
