Almirida Beach is a coastal destination in the eastern part of the Rethymno prefecture, located on the northern coast of Crete.
Geographically, it is situated in an area with a highly indented coastline, east of Panormos and Bali.
The landscape is characterized by the natural beauty of the Cretan shores, with the beach located near interesting geological points. To the west of the shore, a peninsula extends offering panoramic sunset views (Clif sunset view), while to the east lies the neighboring Aliki beach.
Access to Almirida is via a local winding road network that descends from the hinterland toward the beach. The road connects the coast with nearby settlements and the region's broader road network.
Basic infrastructure for visitors is available in the area, including tourist accommodations for stay. The location combines the serenity of a less crowded destination with the opportunity to explore the surrounding coastline and nearby religious monuments, such as the church of Agios Nikolaos located a short distance to the southeast.
