Ammoudi Beach is one of the most popular and beautiful coastal destinations in the wider Chora Sfakion area.

Geographically, it is located just east of the port of Chora Sfakion and west of Agios Charalambos beach, serving as the main organized swimming option within very close proximity to the settlement.

The landscape is characterized by the classic charm of the Libyan Sea, with the shore featuring pristine, crystal-clear, and deep waters. The beach consists of fine pebbles and sand, surrounded by rocky cliffs that offer relative protection. Despite its name (which refers to sand), the presence of pebbles gives the seabed exceptional clarity, making it ideal for snorkeling and underwater exploration.

Access is extremely easy, as it is connected to Chora Sfakion via the road network, and the distance is so short it can even be covered on foot. Regarding organization, Ammoudi is an organized beach, offering umbrellas and sunbeds, with tourist infrastructure and accommodations, such as the well-known Vritomartis, located nearby. It administratively belongs to the Chania Prefecture (Municipality of Sfakia) and is the ideal choice for those seeking comfort and clean seas without moving far from the area's amenities.
