Chiona Beach is one of the most central coastal destinations in the Elounda area, in the Lasithi prefecture.

Geographically, it is located at the base of the Kolokitha peninsula, right next to the isthmus leading to the peninsula and very close to the Vlichadaki area.

The landscape is defined by its strategic position between the settlement of Schisma Eloundas and the archaeological site of Kanali. The beach is washed by the protected Elounda Bay, offering calm waters, and is surrounded by tourist facilities and dining spots serving visitors.

In the wider area of the beach, there are several accommodations and hotel units, making it easily accessible and popular for vacationers. From Chiona begins the road that crosses the isthmus with the traditional windmills, leading toward the more secluded beaches of the peninsula, such as Dianiskari and Kolokitha.
