Diaskari Beach is one of the most beloved and impressive shores in southeastern Crete, stretching east of Makry Gialos.

It is renowned for its vast expanse, rugged beauty, and the sense of tranquility it provides, making it an excellent alternative for those wishing to avoid the more crowded beaches in the area.

The shore is characterized by fine sand and pebbles, with crystal-clear, deep, and pristine waters. Large tamarisk trees at the back of the beach offer natural shade, while the characteristic white cliffs at its edges create a beautiful contrast with the deep blue of the Libyan Sea.

At one end of the beach, there is a well-known traditional taverna famous for its location, while the rest of the shore remains unorganized, preserving its free and pristine character. Access is very easy via a dirt road starting from the main road. Due to its size, Diaskari never feels crowded, always offering a quiet corner for seclusion and relaxation.
