Goudouras Beach is located at the southeastern tip of the Lasithi prefecture, approximately 37 kilometers south of Sitia and 73 kilometers east of Ierapetra.
It serves as the main shore of the seaside settlement of the same name and is one of the most authentic spots in the area, situated at the end of the coastal road just before the route continues toward Xerokampos.
The beach is quite long, characterized by dark pebbles and sand, while its waters are crystal-clear, pristine, and typically refreshingly cool. The main advantage of Goudouras beach is its direct proximity to the village, making it exceptionally easy to access. Despite this proximity, the beach remains quiet, providing plenty of space for swimmers.
Unlike the more secluded coves nearby, at Goudouras, visitors can find necessary amenities within walking distance, such as traditional tavernas and cafes located just above the road. It is the perfect destination for those seeking Cretan hospitality in its purest form, combining a swim in the Libyan Sea with the peace of a traditional fishing village, all while overlooking the imposing mountains and the nearby Kapsa Monastery.
