Gramvousa Beach is one of the most iconic and exotic destinations in Crete, offering a landscape of rare natural beauty

Geographically, it is located on the uninhabited island of Imeri Gramvousa, at the northwestern tip of the Chania Prefecture, across from the Gramvousa peninsula and near the famous Balos lagoon.

The landscape is characterized by white sand and crystal-clear, shallow waters that take on stunning turquoise and emerald hues. One of the beach's most distinctive features is the rusted shipwreck of the "Motorship Dimitrios P," which lies half-submerged near the shore, adding a unique atmosphere to the spot. Overlooking the beach is the imposing Venetian Fortress (Gramvousa Fortress), built on a steep rock, offering panoramic views of the entire area.

Access to the beach is primarily by sea, with boats departing from the port of Kissamos for daily cruises. Regarding organization, Gramvousa remains an unorganized and protected area, preserving its pristine character intact. Due to its historical and ecological significance, it is a destination that combines total relaxation in nature with the exploration of Cretan history.
