Potamos beach is located east of the town of Malia behind the archaeological site of Malia palace. It is a quiet yet organized beach offering an alternative to the crowded and bustling beaches of Malia.
At the southwest side of the historic fortified island of Spinalonga or else Kalydon, is located a beautiful rocky beach with a long coastline.
A little further from the town of Tympaki, as we go south, is the village and the beach of Kokkinos Pirgos. The name of the area came from the tower that existed there and was built with red soil.
