Istro Municipal Beach is one of the central coastal destinations in the wider Kalo Chorio area, located south of Agios Nikolaos.

Geographically, it extends along a beautiful bay washed by the waters of Mirabello, forming the natural continuation of the coastline that includes Voulisma beach.

The landscape is defined by the clarity of the waters and the organization of the shore, which offers all necessary amenities for swimmers. At the eastern end of the beach, the terrain's morphology forms a small rocky cove, serving as an ideal spot for snorkeling and underwater exploration. The area surrounding the beach is lush, combining the blue of the sea with the green of the Cretan landscape.

Access to the municipal beach is very easy, as it directly adjoins the main road axis (E75) connecting Agios Nikolaos with Sitia and Ierapetra. Due to its strategic location, the area is surrounded by various tourist infrastructures and holiday units developed on the nearby hills, offering excellent views of the seafront.
