Kolymbari Beach is one of the best-known and most extensive shores in the western part of the Gulf of Chania, offering a blend of traditional hospitality and modern tourist infrastructure.

Geographically, it is located on the northern coast of the Chania Prefecture, right in front of the village of the same name and east of the Rodopou Peninsula.

The landscape is characterized by a long coastline covered with sand and pebbles, while the waters are crystal clear and deepen relatively quickly. The atmosphere in Kolymbari is vibrant, as the settlement maintains the character of a traditional fishing village that evolved into a significant tourist hub, featuring many renowned fish taverns and restaurants along the waterfront.

Access is extremely easy, as Kolymbari is directly connected to the Northern Road Axis of Crete (E90). Regarding organization, the beach offers full facilities, such as umbrellas, sunbeds, and lifeguard services in several areas, particularly in front of major hotel complexes like Avra Imperial Hotel and Giannoulis – Grand Bay Beach Resort. At the northern end of the beach stands the historic Gonia Odigitria Monastery, adding a distinct cultural character to the area.
