Kolympoi Beach (often referred to as Swimming Beach) is one of the most serene and unexplored treasures on the southern coast of the Heraklion region, located west of Arvi and very close to the Keratokampos area.

It is a small, sheltered cove characterized by the natural beauty of the rugged Cretan landscape, with a shoreline consisting of fine sand and small pebbles. The waters of the Libyan Sea here are crystal clear and typically very calm, making the beach ideal for swimming and relaxing far from the crowded tourist hubs.

For practical travel information, it is essential to note that Kolympoi is a completely unorganized beach, preserving its pristine state without umbrellas, sunbeds, or nearby dining facilities. Access is via the coastal road connecting Arvi with Keratokampos, a route that offers stunning views of the sea and the surrounding mountains. Due to the lack of natural shade, visitors should come prepared with their own shade equipment, as well as an adequate supply of water and food. The beach is particularly recommended for snorkeling enthusiasts, as the seabed offers great interest with its rich marine life, while its proximity to Arvi allows for easy restocking before or after your visit.
