Koum Kapi Beach serves as the eastern coastal gateway to the city of Chania, extending just outside the eastern walls of the old town.

Geographically, it is located along Miaouli Coast, starting from the Santa Lucia bastion and stretching towards the Halepa district.

The landscape of the area is characterized by a narrow sandy shoreline framed by a wide pedestrian promenade, which has long been a meeting point and a popular stroll for city residents. One of the most distinctive features of the area is the presence of rocky formations within the sea, which in some places create small natural pools, offering a unique setting for swimming against the backdrop of the urban fabric.

Access to Koum Kapi is direct and extremely easy on foot from any central point in Chania, as the area is fully integrated into city life. Despite not having the extensive organization found on the western shores (such as umbrellas and sunbeds along its entire length), the area is vibrant thanks to the large number of restaurants, cafes, and traditional taverns lining the waterfront. It is a destination that combines historical significance with relaxed daily recreation by the sea.
