Kouremenos Beach is located in northeastern Crete, in the Lasithi region, very close to Palekastro and a short distance from Sitia.

It is a long, open beach known for its wide horizon and excellent conditions for water sports.

The shoreline is mainly sandy with some fine pebbles, while the waters are clear and relatively shallow in several areas. The beach is particularly famous for its strong and consistent winds, making it one of the top destinations in Crete for windsurfing and kitesurfing.

Unlike more secluded beaches in the area, Kouremenos offers basic infrastructure, including accommodations, tavernas, and water sports schools, while still maintaining an authentic and relaxed atmosphere. Development remains relatively low-key and in harmony with the natural surroundings.

Access is easy by road, as the beach lies close to inhabited areas. The landscape is open, with low vegetation and cultivated fields, creating a bright and expansive setting typical of eastern Crete.

Kouremenos combines natural beauty with activity, making it a lively yet not overcrowded destination, appealing both to visitors and water sports enthusiasts.
