Koutsounari Beach (in Kalo Nero, Lasithi) is a beautiful and quiet shore located right in front of the small settlement of the same name, between Lagkada and Moni Kapsa.

Please note that it should not be confused with the large, busy Koutsounari beach in Ierapetra, as this one is a much more peaceful and "personal" destination.

The beach features fine grey pebbles and sand, with crystal-clear, deep waters typical of the Libyan Sea. The landscape is serene, surrounded by low hills and a few rental apartments offering views of the endless blue. It is the ideal choice for those staying in Kalo Nero who want an easily accessible beach that remains calm even during peak season.

It is completely unorganized, so you will need your own equipment for shade. Access is extremely simple, as it is located right next to the main road. Its location also makes it an excellent base for exploring neighboring "secret" beaches like Staousa and Anaskelos, which are just a stone's throw away.
