Legamenis Beach is one of the hidden and unexplored coastal destinations on the eastern shores of Crete, located north of Tholos beach.
Geographically, it is situated at a point where the coastline forms a small, protected cove, offering an environment of absolute tranquility.
The landscape is characterized by the wild natural beauty of the Cretan terrain, with the beach surrounded by steep rocky formations jutting into the sea. The area maintains an entirely pristine character, as it lacks tourist infrastructure and organization, making it an ideal sanctuary for those seeking isolation. To the west of the beach lies a rocky peninsula with distinctive spots like Katergo, while to the south, the coastline leads toward the more organized Tholos beach.
Access to Legamenis is demanding and is mainly achieved via footpaths or by sea, which protects it from mass tourism. Due to its location, it offers a unique experience of contact with the region's authentic marine environment, combining crystal-clear waters with the imposing presence of the surrounding hills.
