Likos Beach is one of the quietest and most unique coastal destinations in southern Crete, in the heart of the Sfakia region.
Geographically, it is located on the western side of the Loutro bay, situated between Marmara and Finikas beaches.
The landscape is characterized by the wild and authentic beauty of the Cretan south, with the shore featuring crystal-clear, deep waters and a combination of pebbles and rocky formations. The bay is surrounded by imposing, steep mountains that grant the area a character of absolute seclusion. The atmosphere at Likos is exceptionally serene, offering a sanctuary of peace for those wishing to enjoy the sea away from mass tourism, in an environment that maintains its traditional identity.
Access to the beach is primarily by sea via boat from Chora Sfakion and Loutro, as well as through the coastal path connecting the surrounding settlements. Regarding organization, Likos maintains a low-key character, as there are some basic infrastructures for accommodation and food in the area, serving visitors without altering the natural beauty. It administratively belongs to the Chania Prefecture and is an excellent choice for those seeking simplicity and contact with the raw Sfakian landscape.
