Limni Beach is one of the central and most sheltered coastal destinations in Panormos, Rethymno prefecture.
Geographically, it is located on the western side of the settlement's harbor, within a small cove on the northern coast of Crete. The landscape features a sandy shore with calm, crystal-clear waters. The beach has a characteristic artificial stone pier on its eastern side, which effectively protects it from northern winds and waves. This feature creates a safe swimming environment resembling a closed lake, making it extremely popular for families.
Access is very easy, as the beach is located within the village's urban fabric. Visitors can reach the shore via local roads, which connect directly to the Northern Road Axis of Crete. In terms of organization and infrastructure, Limni beach is fully developed. Numerous restaurants, traditional taverns, and cafe-bars offering sea views operate along and within a very short distance from the sand. Furthermore, large hotel units and apartment complexes surround the bay, while the beach itself is organized with umbrellas and sunbeds, providing all necessary amenities.
