Loutraki Beach is one of the most popular and sheltered coastal destinations on the southeastern side of the Akrotiri peninsula.

Geographically, it is located within Souda Bay, very close to Marathi beach and approximately 16 kilometers east of Chania city.

The landscape is characterized by a deep, narrow bay with crystal-clear turquoise waters and fine sand. Due to its natural protection from northern winds, the sea remains almost always calm, making the beach ideal for families and relaxed swimming. The area is surrounded by rocky formations popular for diving, while at the southern end of the shore, there are grass-covered platforms offering alternative spaces for relaxation by the water.

Access is easy via the Akrotiri road network, with the road leading directly above the beach where parking spaces are available. A historic church dominates the wider area, adding a special cultural character to the location.

In terms of organization, Loutraki features all necessary infrastructure for swimmers, such as umbrellas, sunbeds, and spots for coffee and refreshments. The beach combines the comfort of an organized shore with the safety of a sheltered bay, being a steady choice for local residents and visitors alike.
