Nopigia Beach is one of the quietest and most beautiful coastal destinations at the eastern end of the Gulf of Kissamos, offering a serene environment with clear waters.
Geographically, it is located on the northern coast of the Chania Prefecture, next to the village of the same name and east of Drapanias beach.
The landscape is characterized by an extensive coastline that combines sand and pebbles, while the sea is usually calm, making it ideal for relaxed swimming. The atmosphere in Nopigia remains authentic and less commercialized, offering the opportunity for real rest away from the hustle and bustle of major tourist centers.
Access is very easy, as the settlement is located on the old national road, while the Northern Road Axis of Crete passes very close south of the beach. Regarding organization, the beach has basic infrastructure in some parts, while along the coastal road there are traditional taverns, such as Taverna Mithimna, and various tourist accommodations. The area also serves as an excellent base for walks westward towards Kissamos or eastward towards the Rodopou peninsula.
