Skaleta Beach is the easternmost point of the long sandy coastline of Rethymno Bay.

Geographically, it is located in the Rethymno prefecture, about 12 kilometers from the city of Rethymno, and faces the Cretan Sea.

The landscape features a beautiful sandy shore surrounded by hills, offering a calmer atmosphere compared to the more central parts of the coastal front. The sea in the area is clear and open, while the beach provides wonderful views of the sea and the horizon.

Access is extremely simple, as Skaleta is located right on European Route 75 (Northern Road Axis of Crete - E90). Its proximity to the main road axis makes it easily accessible by car or bus, and there are local roads leading from the national highway directly to the seafront.

In terms of organization and infrastructure, Skaleta is a fully developed tourist destination. Along the coast, large hotel units and tourist accommodations operate, and the beach features organized sections with umbrellas, sunbeds, and lifeguard services. The area also hosts traditional taverns and restaurants offering local flavors by the waves.
