Sosorides Beach is one of the quietest and most unique coastal destinations on the Akrotiri peninsula.

Geographically, it is located on the southeastern side of Akrotiri, situated right next to the cosmopolitan Marathi beach and approximately 17 kilometers from Chania city.

The landscape is characterized by a small, picturesque cove with crystal-clear deep waters and coarse pebbles, a feature that distinguishes it from its sandy neighboring shore. Due to its orientation within Souda Bay, the sea usually remains calm, providing an ideal environment for those seeking peace and seclusion away from the crowds.

Access is easy via the road network leading to Marathi, with this specific shore located on the western side of the main settlement. In the area above the beach, there are dining options, such as the PVK restaurant, as well as various accommodations like Marathi Panorama Rooms, offering excellent views of the Cretan Sea.

In terms of organization, Sosorides maintains a simpler character. While featuring some basic infrastructure, it remains the preference of locals desiring a more authentic swimming experience, combining water clarity with the rugged pebbly scenery of the area.
