Tripiti Beach is one of the most isolated and imposing coastal destinations in southern Crete.
Geographically, it is located west of Sfakia, situated between Sentoni beach and the cape where the Prophet Elias chapel stands.
The landscape is characterized by wild natural beauty and the unique geology of the region, as the beach lies at the exit of the namesake gorge. The shore features pristine, deep waters and fine pebbles, surrounded by towering and steep cliffs that inspire awe. The atmosphere at Tripiti is perfectly serene, offering a rare sense of isolation and peace, far from any trace of modern civilization.
Access to the beach is particularly demanding, possible either by sea via boat or through long and difficult hiking from Sougia or Agia Roumeli, crossing sections of the European long-distance path. Regarding organization, Tripiti is a completely unorganized beach, with absolutely no infrastructure, preserving its virgin character intact. It administratively belongs to the Chania Prefecture and is the ideal destination for experienced hikers and nature lovers seeking ultimate connection with the raw Cretan landscape.
