Viglistiri Beach is one of the most secluded and unknown coastal enclaves in southern Crete, located between Rodakino and Frangokastello.
Geographically, it is situated west of Keratidi beach and east of Kritama beach, forming part of the wild coastline that extends near the borders of the Rethymno and Chania regions.
The landscape is characterized by absolute silence and the rugged beauty of the Libyan Sea. The shore features crystal-clear, deep waters and a combination of pebbles and rocks, making it ideal for those seeking complete isolation far from any trace of civilization. Due to its location, the beach offers an authentic setting of raw nature, where tranquility is interrupted only by the sound of the waves.
Access to the area is demanding, via dirt roads starting from the main road axis of the Skaloti and Argoules area, descending toward the sea. Regarding organization, Viglistiri is a completely unorganized beach, with absolutely no infrastructure or shade. It is a destination exclusively for those who are fully prepared with necessary supplies and seek the experience of a pristine shore that remains untouched by tourism.
