Volakias Beach is a coastal destination on the northern shores of Crete, in the Milatos area.

Geographically, it is located east of Malia and Sisi, situated at a point where the coastline exhibits particular geomorphological interest.

The landscape is characterized by a protected natural cove, defined by a distinct strip of land extending into the sea, creating a tranquil environment for swimmers. The shore is washed by the Cretan Sea and surrounded by a gentle natural terrain.

There is significant tourist activity in the wider area of the beach. Large and luxury hotel complexes and resorts operate in immediate proximity to the shore, while alternative accommodation options promoting a quieter lifestyle are also located nearby.
