Voulolimni Beach is one of the most unique natural formations in western Crete, known for its crater-like shape that resembles a small inland lake next to the sea.
Geographically, it is located on the western coast of the Chania Prefecture, approximately 1 kilometer northwest of the Chrysoskalitissa Monastery and a few kilometers north of Elafonisi.
The landscape is characterized by a natural pool connected to the open sea through a small passage between the rocks, which ensures that the waters remain constantly calm and serene, regardless of the weather. The shore is surrounded by wild, sharp rocks and offers pristine, crystal-clear waters, making it an ideal destination for swimming in a protected and otherworldly environment.
Access is easy by road, as it is situated very close to the Chrysoskalitissa settlement, with a short road leading almost to the coast. Regarding organization, Voulolimni is a completely unorganized beach, without umbrellas or other tourist infrastructure, preserving its natural beauty intact. In the wider area, there are options for accommodation and dining, such as "Kosmos Fish Tavern" and "Glykeria" restaurant.
