Zeromouri Beach is one of the quietest and most pristine coastal destinations in southern Crete.
Geographically, it is located immediately east of the settlement of Agia Roumeli, forming the natural continuation of the coastline that begins at the exit of the Samaria Gorge.
The landscape is characterized by the wild and imposing beauty of the Libyan Sea, with the shore featuring crystal-clear, deep waters and fine, dark pebbles. The beach is surrounded by steep cliffs that provide a sense of seclusion, while the atmosphere remains exceptionally serene, as most visitors to the area stay at the settlement's main beach. It is an ideal place for those seeking tranquility and contact with the raw natural environment, away from the traffic caused by hikers exiting the gorge.
Access is very easy on foot from Agia Roumeli, following the coastal path heading east. Regarding organization, Zeromouri is a completely unorganized beach, preserving its authentic form without any intervention. It administratively belongs to the Chania Prefecture and is the ideal choice for a peaceful swim in a setting dominated by the sound of the waves and the imposing presence of the surrounding mountains.
