Ammoudara is a developing coastal settlement in the Lasithi prefecture, built along the shores of Mirabello Bay, just a few kilometers south of Agios Nikolaos.

The area is a popular destination thanks to its beautiful sandy beaches and its privileged location, which combines tranquility with easy access to the region's major urban centers.

The most noteworthy feature to see in Ammoudara is its coastline, characterized by crystal-clear waters and organized beaches ideal for water activities. Of particular interest is the site Tou Listi o Spilios, a coastal rock formation with historical and geological significance that dominates the southern part of the settlement. Additionally, the area is surrounded by hills with olive groves, and the church of Agios Georgios Tragopiastis is located nearby, offering opportunities for brief excursions into Cretan nature.

A tour of Ammoudara reveals a place that balances tourism development with authentic Cretan hospitality. The settlement is traversed by the main highway (VOAK), making it an ideal base for exploring neighboring areas such as Mardati, Rousa Limni, and Roussos Metochi. The panoramic views of the vast blue Aegean and direct access to picturesque coves make Ammoudara one of the most attractive coastal stops in eastern Lasithi.
