Skopi is a traditional settlement in the Lasithi prefecture, situated in a strategic location within the wider Sitia region.

The village is built at an altitude that allows it to overlook the surrounding rugged Cretan terrain while maintaining the authenticity of an inland settlement.

The most noteworthy feature to see in Skopi is its inextricable link to the production of local goods. An olive oil factory operates within the settlement, highlighting the importance of olive cultivation for the economy and the residents' daily life. To the west of the village lies the settlement of Chamezi, while the area of Kimouriotis extends to the east, forming a network of traditional villages worth exploring.

A tour of Skopi reveals a place with excellent road connectivity, as the settlement is traversed by European Route 75 (Northern Road Axis of Crete), connecting Agios Nikolaos to Sitia. Additionally, the Skopi provincial road facilitates access to the surrounding rural landscapes, offering visitors a complete picture of the Lasithi countryside, where tradition and agricultural production remain vibrant.
