Orino Gorge, also known as the Gorge of the Red Butterflies, is located in southeastern Crete, within the Lasithi regional unit, near the village of Orino and a short distance from the coastal settlement of Koutsouras, east of Ierapetra.
It is one of the most beautiful and popular gorges in the area, known for its rich vegetation and impressive natural scenery. The route begins near Orino and ends close to the sea at Koutsouras, offering a unique transition from mountainous to coastal landscape.
