Acqua Blu Beach is a coastal destination on the northern shores of the Heraklion prefecture, in the wider Kokkini Chani area.
Geographically, it is located east of Heraklion city and marks the first section of the local coastal front as one moves from west to east, situated before the main Kokkini Chani beach.
The landscape is defined by a characteristic artificial cove enclosed by a large breakwater. This formation provides excellent protection from northern winds and waves, creating a tranquil sandy shore with clear waters, ideal for swimming.
Access to the beach is direct and easy via El. Venizelou Avenue, the main road of the area. The local road network, including streets such as Vitsentzou Kornarou, leads visitors directly to the shore.
The area surrounding the beach is highly developed for tourism. There is complete infrastructure with accommodations and dining options lining the coastline, while the beach itself is organized to serve swimmers.
