Agios Onoufrios Beach is one of the most picturesque and sheltered coves on the Akrotiri peninsula.

Geographically, it is located on the western side of Akrotiri, a very short distance from Chania city and right next to the settlement of the same name.

The landscape is characterized by a deep, narrow bay surrounded by rocky formations that act as natural breakwaters. This morphology ensures that the sea remains almost always calm and flat, even when strong winds blow along the rest of the coastline. The beach features fine sand and crystal-clear shallow waters, making it extremely popular for families with young children and local residents.

Access is very easy via the road network connecting Kounoupidiana to the coast, and the area offers ample parking space near the water. On one side of the bay, there is a small, quaint harbor for fishing boats, which enhances the traditional atmosphere of the location.

In terms of organization, the beach provides umbrellas, sunbeds, and lifeguard services during the summer months. Despite its proximity to industrial facilities in the broader region, Agios Onoufrios maintains the clarity of its waters and its tranquility, serving as a "hidden" sanctuary for a quick escape from the city's pace.
