Ammoudi Beach (also known as Dragon's Cave Beach or "Dragon's Children") is one of the most stunning and unique destinations in southeastern Crete, near the settlement of Lagkada.

It consists of a cluster of small, consecutive coves surrounded by imposing white cliffs, creating a landscape that feels almost otherworldly.

The beach gets its name from the large cave located slightly uphill, known as the Dragon's Cave, which lends a mystical aura to the area. The main beach features fine, light-colored sand and pristine turquoise waters that remain shallow for several meters, making it ideal for relaxation. The surrounding rock formations are filled with small crevices and hidden corners, offering visitors a true sense of discovery.

The well-known beach club Cavo Bianco operates in the area, providing organized amenities like umbrellas and service, yet there are plenty of spots for those seeking seclusion. The seabed is exceptionally rich and clear, making Ammoudi a paradise for snorkeling. Access is very easy via the Ierapetra - Goudouras main road, making it a must-visit stop for anyone wanting to see one of the most photographic and atmospheric beaches of the Libyan Sea.
