Anidri Beach is one of the most serene and beloved destinations in southern Crete, known for its wild beauty and the sense of freedom it offers.
Geographically, it is located on the shores of the Libyan Sea, east of Paleochora, essentially forming the western part of the broader coastline at Gialiskari, right at the exit of the impressive Anidri Gorge.
The landscape is characterized by the vast extent of the shore, which features pristine, deep waters and fine pebbles. The beach is surrounded by the rugged terrain of the area, while the atmosphere remains exceptionally relaxed and alternative, making it ideal for those seeking peace and contact with nature away from busy tourist centers.
Access to the beach is possible by road via a dirt track from Paleochora, while one of the most beautiful experiences is reaching it via the hiking trail that crosses the gorge from the village of Anidri. Regarding organization, Anidri is a partially organized beach, as basic infrastructure, such as a canteen for essentials, is available nearby at Gialiskari. It administratively belongs to the Chania Prefecture and remains a destination that enchants with its raw charm.
