Episkopi Beach is one of the largest and most impressive sandy shores in northern Crete, stretching for several kilometers.

Geographically, it belongs to the Rethymno prefecture, located at the western borders of the prefecture, forming the direct continuation of the vast coastline that begins at Georgioupoli and Kournas.

The landscape is characterized by its vast expanse of golden sand and the crystal-clear, deep waters of the Cretan Sea. Due to its open orientation, the beach is exposed to northern winds, which often create impressive waves, making it a favorite destination for those who enjoy the wild beauty of the sea. Parallel to the shore lies a flat area with low vegetation, enhancing the sense of freedom the place offers.

Access is extremely simple and direct, as the beach is located right next to the Northern Road Axis of Crete (E90). Numerous roads, such as the Loutron-Episkopi Provincial Road, connect the main road network to the shore, offering ample parking spaces for visitors.

In terms of organization, Episkopi features full infrastructure with organized sections including umbrellas, sunbeds, beach bars, and taverns. However, due to its immense size, it offers plenty of space for those who prefer to avoid the crowds and seek a quieter, more secluded spot to enjoy their swim.
