Kamari Beach is a small and picturesque coastal destination in the Rethymno prefecture, located between Georgioupoli and the city of Rethymno.

Geographically, it is situated north of the Gerani settlement, within a small cove facing the Cretan Sea.

The landscape is characterized by a combination of sand and pebbles, with crystal-clear waters that deepen relatively quickly. The beach is surrounded by rocky formations and hills, offering a more enclosed and sheltered environment compared to the vast sandy shores of neighboring Episkopi. Access is very easy, as the beach is located very close to the Northern Road Axis of Crete (E90). Local roads connect the national highway directly to the shore, and the area features basic parking infrastructure and easy vehicle access.

In terms of organization, Kamari maintains a mild character. While there are some facilities for swimmers and dining options nearby, the beach does not exhibit the intense tourist development found in other areas, making it an ideal choice for those seeking a quieter destination for their swim.
