Livadia Beach is the natural eastern extension of the Kissamos coastline, offering a quieter and more spacious alternative to the central Mavros Molos.
Geographically, it is located on the northern coast of the Chania Prefecture, stretching east from the center of Kissamos town along the bay.
The landscape is characterized by a very long sandy shore, which in several parts mixes with fine pebbles. The waters are crystal clear, although due to the beach's open position in the bay, it can be more affected by northern winds compared to the more sheltered spots near the harbor. The atmosphere at Livadia is relaxed, with the beach maintaining a less urban character, ideal for long walks by the sea.
Access is particularly simple, as the beach is in close proximity to the Northern Road Axis of Crete (E90) and the town. Regarding organization, Livadia features sections with umbrellas and sunbeds, mainly in front of the area's hotels and rental apartments; however, the largest part of the beach remains free for visitors. In the wider area, there are traditional taverns and accommodations, providing all basic amenities in a calmer environment.
