Peristeras Beach is an extensive part of the long coastline stretching east of the Georgioupoli settlement.
Geographically, it is located between Georgioupoli and Kournas Beach, situated in the northern part of the Chania prefecture, near the border with the Rethymno prefecture.
The landscape is characterized by a very long sandy beach with crystal-clear waters, open to the Cretan Sea. The area is surrounded by a wide plain with low vegetation, offering a sense of spaciousness and freedom.
Access is particularly simple, as the beach is in close proximity to the Northern Road Axis of Crete (E90) and the Old National Road of Chania-Rethymno. Local roads connect the main road network directly to the shore, making it easy to reach by vehicle.
In terms of organization, Peristeras is an organized beach featuring the necessary infrastructure for visitors, such as umbrellas and sunbeds. Due to its vast size, it offers options both for those seeking the comfort of an organized shore and for those who prefer more peace in more secluded spots of the sandy beach.
