Peristeres is an isolated and quiet beach 46 km southwest of Rethimno and very close to Rodakino village.

The sandy beach has beautiful crystal waters and is surrounded by carob trees, while on the east side of its coastline you can see many rocks and caves with small beaches. There, at Kastelos rock the pigeons make their nests, and that is where the beach took its name from (Peristeres=pigeons).

Peristeres is the third beach you will meet after Korakas and Polyrizos if you are driving east from Rodakino village.
