Pervolia beach is a central and highly popular section of Rethymno's waterfront, located on the eastern side of the city.
Geographically, it stretches along the urban fabric, essentially forming the continuation of the vast sandy shore that begins from Rethymno's center and harbor.
The landscape features a wide, organized sandy beach with clear waters, facing the Cretan Sea. Due to its large size and proximity to the city, the beach offers a sense of spaciousness despite the traffic, and the view toward the open sea is unobstructed.
Access is extremely simple for visitors and residents, as the beach runs parallel to Ari Velouchioti Street, the main coastal road of the area. The area is also connected to the central Emmanouil Pachla Avenue, while numerous side streets facilitate access to the shore.
In terms of organization and infrastructure, Pervolia is fully developed. Along the coast, several large hotel units operate, along with numerous cafes, restaurants, and beach bars. The beach features umbrellas, sunbeds, and lifeguard services, providing all the amenities for a complete recreational experience within the urban environment.
