The beach that is located right in front of the Eri Hotel at Chersonisos, is 32 km east from Heraklion.
A fairly organized beach is Agia Galini beach, which is located at the estuary of Platis river. Since 1960 every year a lot of visitors spent their holidays here and of course is awarded with a Blue Flag.
