Platia Peramata Beach is one of the most popular destinations on the southern coast of the Heraklion region, located between Kaloi Limenes and Lentas.

Geographically, it is situated east of Krigioi beach and west of Psili Ammos.

It is an extensive beach with fine pebbles and sand, washed by the crystal-clear waters of the Libyan Sea. The area is surrounded by a fertile, albeit arid, landscape where residents of nearby villages (such as Antiskari) maintain greenhouses and small olive groves.

Access to the beach is very easy, as it is served by the main regional road (Plora - Agiou Kirillou Road), which leads directly above the shore. Due to the good road connection, Platia Peramata is a favorite destination for locals and visitors seeking a quieter alternative to the more tourist-heavy settlements.

Regarding organization, the beach is partially organized. In the small settlement developed behind the shore, visitors can find traditional tavernas, cafes, and some rental rooms. The beach itself features several tamarisk trees providing natural shade and is known for its welcoming and family-friendly atmosphere.
