Sarantari Beach is one of the most distinct coastal destinations on the northern shores of the Heraklion prefecture, in the Hersonissos area.

. Geographically, it is located in the northwestern part of the Hersonissos bay, in an area where the coastline forms successive small coves.

The landscape is defined by its unique geomorphology, featuring white cliffs surrounding small sandy beaches and clear, turquoise waters. North of the main beach lies a more secluded cove, known as the Unofficial FKK Naturist Beach, preferred by nudists, while to the south, the coastline continues toward Gefyri Beach.

Access to Sarantari is easy via Agios Georgios Street, which follows the coast and connects the beach to the main settlement of Hersonissos. The local road network leads visitors directly above the coves, offering panoramic views.

Due to its prime location, the area is touristically developed. Numerous accommodations, such as apartments and hotel units, operate in the wider area, along with dining venues overlooking the bay. The beach is an ideal choice for those seeking to swim in a picturesque environment with natural coves, protected from strong winds.
