Epano Vathia village is a traditional village built on the Vathianos Kampos valley, 15 km southwest of Heraklion and with 260 m. height.

Entering the village you can see the beautiful stonebuilt square with its beautiful traditional coffee shops surrounded by morus and poplar trees.

At Epano Vathia you can go sightseeing at the church of Agios Antonios which is built right where an old church was built and in which you can see some old wall paintings that remain until today. Additionally, you can visit the Porofarago gorge which starts from Kato Vathia and exits at Vrahokipos.
