Arkadi gorge starts from the northwest of Arkadi monastery and continues north for about 4.5 km leading to the village Pikri.
The Havgas Gorge is the only large gorge on the Lassithi Plateau, formed between the peaks of Katharios Lakkos and Katharia Kefala in the Dikti mountain range.
