Donkey Beach is one of the quietest and most pristine coastal destinations on the northern shores of the Lasithi prefecture, in the broader region west of Sitia.
Geographically, it is located south of Ormos Trachyli, at a point where the coastline forms a small, protected cove.
The landscape is characterized by absolute natural serenity and a lack of organization. The beach is surrounded by the typical arid and rocky terrain of eastern Crete, with low vegetation reaching near the shore. Other small, secluded beaches continue in the surrounding area, such as Platani Beach and Agii Pantes Beach, forming a complex ideal for those seeking isolation.
Access to Donkey Beach is via secondary dirt roads that cross the coastal zone. Due to its remote location, the beach maintains its crystal-clear waters and offers an authentic experience of tranquility, far from any trace of tourist development, serving as a sanctuary for lovers of unexplored nature.
