Xotikospilio Beach is one of the most hidden and atmospheric coastal treasures of western Crete, offering a landscape of wild beauty.

Geographically, it is located on the western coast of the Chania Prefecture, north of Stou Koutoulou beach and the Livadia area.

The landscape is characterized by the rugged charm of rocks and the pristine, deep waters of the area. The beach owes its name to a small cave located on the shore, which, according to local tradition, is linked to legends of elves, lending a mystical aura to the spot. The atmosphere remains exceptionally quiet and isolated, as the beach is not widely known, making it ideal for those seeking absolute tranquility away from any trace of civilization.

Access is relatively difficult, requiring driving on a dirt road followed by a short descent via a trail. Regarding organization, Xotikospilio is a completely unorganized beach with no infrastructure whatsoever; therefore, visitors must be fully prepared with necessary supplies. It administratively belongs to the Chania Prefecture and is one of the most pristine destinations on the western coastline.
