The seaside village of Treis Ekklisies is located 64 km south of Heraklion right after Haraka and Paranymfoi villages.

The village is built behind the impressive mountains of Asterousia and also it is at the end of Ampa’s gorge which has one of the tallest waterfalls with 140 m height.

You can find many beautiful and isolated beaches on the east and also on the west side of the village such as the beach of Trygopiastis, Voidomatos and Orniou.

The village’s name means “three churches” and it is referring to the three churches of Panagia, Afenti Christou and Agiou Georgiou.
