Kentri is a traditional settlement in the Lasithi prefecture, located in a flat and extremely fertile area, very close to the town of Ierapetra.
The village is a key point for the local agricultural economy, surrounded by extensive crops and professional plant production units extending to the east of the settlement.
The most noteworthy feature to see in Kentri is the intense commercial and productive activity developing along the main road axes. The settlement is bordered by the Kato Chorio-Makrylia provincial road to the east, while to the south lie the area of Agiasmenos and the location Xeropigado, which house various trade and service businesses for the wider region.
A tour of Kentri reveals a place that combines village tranquility with modern professional development. Due to its strategic position in the road network of southeastern Crete, the settlement offers easy access to both the mountainous parts of Lasithi and the coastal centers, while maintaining the authenticity of a Cretan inland settlement.
